1. Why the "Renew, Revive, Rejoice!" Stewardship Campaign now?
Our coming 200th anniversary in 5 years has raised certain realities for Good Shepherd Church. The need to serve our current young families, to prepare for the future generations of members of our church, and the current state of needed repairs for our church have combined to encourage us to face our future with hope and commitment.

2. How will we serve our young families and prepare for future generations?
Through faith, prayer, belief in our future, and generous, sacrificial giving, we will add a staff person who, along with our pastor, will serve and minister with young families, young adults, youth, and children. We are blessed with many families and families to come, who long for us to become a al church addressing today's spiritual needs. The search for an Associate pastor has begun.

3. When do we begin the needed renovations of our church buildings?
Projects have already begun to restore our church. Some work will be done by outside companies, some will be done by our members. Our church and office building has already had bricks re-pointed and silicone applied to preserve our church for years to come. Other indoor and outdoor projects are planned to make our church safe, presentable, and, above all, a wonderful place to worship, learn, and serve.

4. When is the renovation to be completed?
The project will extend over the next 3 years. Our Trustees have wisely chosen to have the completion of projects coincide with the raising of funds.

5. How will the funds be raised?
The funds will be commitment pledges by all of our members during our "Renew, Revive, Rejoice!" capital stewardship campaign, September 25 through November 20.

6. How will the commitments be made?
Commitments will be made either by giving weekly, monthly or annually over a three-year period. Commitment cards will be signed at the Leadership Commitment Event on November 11 and the Celebration Event on Sunday, November 20. Some may also be led to give special gifts for special projects.

7. Will monetary commitments be made public?
No. Absolutely not.

8. Can commitments be changed, if necessary?
Yes, you may either increase or decrease your commitment at any time the Lord leads and circumstances change.

9. Must we all give the same?
As the Bible states, each of us must sacrifice according to our ability to give. That sacrificial amount is between God and each one of us and is a personal decision of faith. The widow's mite was as important to Jesus as the gifts of the largest donors.

10. Will I have a chance to ask questions prior to making my commitment to the program?
Yes, there will be information meetings scheduled during October and November.

11. Will new members be asked to help fund the project?
Yes. New members will be contacted by the Follow-Up Team over the next 3 years and given the opportunity to make a commitment to the project.
